Patient Story: Michael and Jesse’s Story
My name is Michael and this is my little brother Jesse. I’m 8 and he’s 6.
We built a lemonade and ice tea stand last summer and donated our proceeds to the Northern Cancer Foundation.
Why? ‘Cuz our mom has cancer.
We tried to take care of her as much as we could, ‘cuz we wanted her to get better faster. She told us that she was trying super hard to get better and that her doctors at the Northeast Cancer Center were working super hard to make her better too. That’s why we gave our lemonade and ice tea money to the NCF. We thought that it would help them find a cure.
Maybe if everybody decided to build their own lemonade stand or share some of their piggy bank money, we could help people not get sick from cancer anymore. That would be pretty cool.
We could share our lemonade recipe with you…
The Northern Cancer Foundation [NCF] raises needed funds in support of the Northeast Cancer Center which provides leading-edge cancer research and progressive patient care here in the North. Our much needed funds are generously donated by people just like you through personal giving, In Memoriams and the fundraising efforts of many northern volunteer organizations. Through your donations, NCF helps fund the purchase of vital equipment for research and the expansion of patient services throughout the North. Every donation NCF receives stays here in the North to benefit the people of the North.
